Our Dentists
Dr. Melanie Babot, DDS/MS
Ninja-esque
Dr. Melanie has over two decades of experience as a pediatric dentist. She has been listed as a Top Dentist in Austin since 2007 in Austin Monthly Magazine and Texas Monthly Magazine. She attended the University of Oklahoma. She attended the University of Oklahoma for both her undergraduate studies and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She completed a pediatric specialty residency at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas, where she obtained a pediatric dental certificate and a Masters's degree in oral biology. Before opening Austin Kids Teeth in Austin, Texas, Dr. Babot was a pediatric dentist near San Jose, California.
She enjoys working with children and takes pride in providing the best dental care possible with a holistic, whole health approach. When she isn’t providing dental care, Dr. Babot enjoys knitting, gardening, and all sorts of exercise, especially tennis.
Dr. Courtney Carr, DDS
Tooth Whisperer
Dr. Courtney was born and raised near Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southern Methodist University with a degree in Mathematics. She then attended dental school at Baylor College of Dentistry, graduating with honors in 2006. Following dental school, Dr. Carr pursued her pediatric specialty training at Baylor College of Dentistry as well, where she completed a two-year residency in pediatric dentistry. During her post-graduate training, she had the opportunity to spend extensive time working at Children’s Medical Center and Texas Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas, gaining invaluable experience treating children with special needs, as well as those requiring sedation and hospital dentistry.
Dr. Carr is a board-certified pediatric dentist and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Capital Area Dental Society, and the Texas Dental Association.
Dr. Carr practiced in the Dallas area for several years before relocating to Austin and joining Austin Kids Teeth. She and her husband, Brett, have always loved the Hill Country and feel fortunate to be raising their three kids in this area. Outside of work, Dr. Carr stays pretty busy with her little ones, but in her spare time she enjoys running, baking, watching movies, reading, and spending time outdoors with her family.
Dr. Ella Skoler, DMD
EAST COAST GAL
Dr. Ella Skoler grew up in Boston, MA, before heading to New York University to complete her BA in Art History. Excited to blend her enthusiasm for art and science with patient care, she earned her doctorate in Dental Medicine at Tufts University in Boston, MA. She continued her education at Stony Brook University Hospital in New York, completing a 2-year residency in Pediatric Dentistry, where she served as chief resident and developed her passion for working with children. In her free time, Dr. Ella loves yoga, live music, and bookstores.
After years of traveling up and down the East Coast, Dr. Ella is delighted to call Austin her new home! She looks forward to serving the Austin community, and can’t wait to meet you!
